Regina Lynette Williams was born on February 18, 1969, to Mary Williams and Charles Shaw, Sr. She peacefully accepted her heavenly wings on January 6, 2025.
At an early age, Regina confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with her beloved grandmother.
Regina received her education through Joliet Public Schools. Her deep passion for helping others led her into the healthcare field, where she dedicated ten years of service to United Cerebral Palsy. Continuing to follow her calling, she later transitioned to Trinity Services (U.C.P. Center for Disability Services), where she worked diligently until her passing.
Beyond her career, Regina found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved attending family reunions, planning and participating in outings, and celebrating special moments with her children and close friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Williams; her father, Charles Shaw, Sr.; her stepfather, George H. Cole; and her Grandmother , Wyonnie Page. She was also preceded in death by four uncles: Hardy, George, Herman, and Iredditt Shaw.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: daughter Miriaia McCullough; two sons, Spelman Stewart and Darious Williams; and her precious granddaughter, Harlie Stewart, all of Joliet , IL. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Tiffany Banks-Wade (Nelson Wade) of Atlanta, GA, and her beloved brother, Charles Shaw, Jr. of Wisconsin. Her dear uncle, James (Katrina) Shaw. She leaves behind four great-aunts: June Young of Joliet, IL; Ann Palmer of Niagara Falls, NY; Alwaldia Thomas of Detroit, MI; and Alprema Poxema of Bolden, OH, along with additional beloved family members, Lela Irby, Rochelle Minor, Sheronda Williams, and Janice Greene. Cherished coworkers Clianthia (Tina) Travis, Kyonna brown ,Wanda Campbell, and Keyshawna McDonald, as well as special friends Monika Earnest, Kim Page, Cynthia Davis, and Lenora Jordan. Her beloved hairstylist, Sheila Kelly-Trice, and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Regina’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to helping others will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
