Richard A. Reynolds

Richard Attah Reynolds, age 73, passed away on Sunday March 16, 2025, in Joliet, IL. Born on March 31, 1951, in Kumasi, Ghana. He came to the United States in 1972. Richard established his life in Crest Hill, IL, in 1981 after meeting the love of his life, Brenda. They were married in 1985 and have three children.

Richard graduated from Joliet Junior College with an associate’s degree. Afterward, he began working at Eichrom Technologies as an environmental lab technician. In 2006, he started driving semi- trucks as an owner/operator. He retired in 2020. Richard was always willing to give and was there when you needed him. He was friendly with everyone he met.

Richard and his family were devoted members of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church, in Lockport, IL, under the leadership of Pastor TH Pinnick for many years along with attending prayer group facilitated by Minister Foster in Chicago, IL. He and the family later joined Living Word Christian Center, Forest Park, IL, led by Pastor Bill Winston. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Kofi Siaw and Ama Amissah Reynolds, his sister Esther, his twin brother at birth, and a sister at birth. 

Richard leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted wife, Brenda, his son, Andre (Megan), his daughter Ama, his son, Richard (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Heavenlee, Hannah, Chloe, Brysan, Cyniah, Kaiden, Calani, Kaleesi, and great grandchild, True; siblings Mary, Tawiah, Darkoa; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
