Robert King, Sr. Obituary
Robert Louis King, Sr. was born August 15, 1949 to Eugene King and Ethel Mae King (nee Burrels) in Gosport, Alabama.
He accepted Christ at an early age and continued in his faith. He attended grade school in Gusport, AL and attended high school at Michael Branch H.S. He moved to Joliet, Illinois in 1970 and began employment with Caterpillar Tractor, Inc. and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
Robert was united in holy matrimony to Patricia Cheatham and to this union, one son was born, Robert L. King, Jr.
Robert really enjoyed fishing and was an avid traveler.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene King and Ethel Mae King; two sisters, Queen Ester King and Mattie King; and one brother, Willie King.
He departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2020 in Joliet, Illinois.
He leaves to celebrate his life; his only son, Robert L. King, Jr. of Joliet, IL; one brother Eugene (Debbie) King of Joliet, IL; two sisters, Julia (Johnnie) Gwin of Atlanta, GA and Glenda Williams of Joliet, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
