Roberta Ann Duncan

Roberta A. Duncan “Bertann” 72 of Joliet, Illinois transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Born on August 17, 1952 in Joliet, Illinois to Robert Weems and Pauline Barker Weems Whitfield.

She attended Joliet Public Schools.  She retired from doing Home Health Care.

She enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles and hanging out with family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Weems; her ex-husband, Richard E. Duncan; son, Corey Weems and her brother, John D. Whitfield, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Pauline Whitfield; daughter, April (Robert Tyrone) Weems-Lockhart; brothers, Arthur (Shirley) Weems, Michael (Earnestine) Barker-Whitfield, and Kevin D. Whitfield, all of Joliet, Illinois; sisters, Carmen (LeRoy) Johnson, Sylvia (Orlando) Landery-Whitfield (her personal Pastor) and a host of nieces and nephews.
