Rodney Bradfield was born July 18, 1960 in Chicago, IL to the union of Archie Lee and Katie Mae Bradfield, both who preceded him in the death. Rodney accepted Christ at an early age.
Rodney was born and raised on the southside of Chicago. He attended Lewis Champion Grammar School. The family then moved to Roseland where he attended Pullman M. Elementary. Upon graduating from the 8th grade, he attended Corliss High School.
Rodney met his childhood sweetheart Sarah and to them two children were born, Rodney Lamont and Shellisha Echelle. 5 grandchildren Nikesha, Derrick, Keith, Carnell and Lakeitha and one great grand-daughter Khamyia
Rodney worked various jobs but his last job was B&W Steel, however his true passion was fixing and rehabbing cars. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was known everywhere as the mechanic that could fix anything pertaining to cars. His known know was Hot Rod and Black. Rodney was the comedian always cracking jokes and pulling pranks to keep you laughing. He has an infectious personality. Whoever met him loved him. He will definitely be missed but never forgotten.
Rodney then met and married Jackie and he inherited a bonus son, Ronald.
Rodney had three siblings to preceded him death Charlie, Micheal (Marcia) and Virgie (Burnell).
He leaves to cherish: six surviving siblings Willie and Catherine of Chicago, Celestine and Tellean of Matteson, Lakeisha of Park Forest and Delilah of South Bend and host of Aunties, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.
