Ronnie L. Jones Jr. was born on June 26, 1968 to Ronnie Sr. and Delories Jones. He was called home on March 30, 2021.
Ronnie was a military baby and travelled with his family throughout the United States. He graduated from Morse High School in San Diego, CA. Upon graduation he attended Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, TX. He later transferred to the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, AK. In the fall of 1989, he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi, Iota Gamma Chapter and would forever be known as ICEE BEAR #4. Over the years Ronnie worked for Chicago Job Corps and Jewish Children & Family Services as a Counselor and Mentor to the youth. He had a special gift working with and motivating kids. He was also a very proud stay at home dad for his sons, Amari, and Jakobe. Ronnie was a true family man and would do anything for his two sons.
Ronnie always lived his life to the fullest and to the beat of his own drum. He was a diehard Cubs fan while the rest of the family are White Sox fans. He would not back down even when he was tested. He was passionate about sports. He loved to travel especially to Panama City Beach, FL to visit his mom and Tommy. While at home he loved to grill in the back yard and listen to reggae music. He always wanted to have his own Food Truck or open a restaurant.
Ronnie was united in Holy Matrimony to Kristen Chevali.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie L. Jones Sr., grandmother, Ruby Greer, grandparents, Bessie and James Jones and great grandparents, Ola Mae Williams, and Charlie Williams.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Delories Grant and stepfather, Tommy Grant both of Panama City Beach, FL, wife, Kristen Chevali-Jones, two sons, Amari Jones and Jakobe Jones of Flossmoor, IL, his brother, Roland Jones and nephew, Jabbar Jones of Chicago, IL, great aunt, Juanita Sain of Chicago, IL, aunt, Joyce Jones of Missouri, aunt, Joann Williams, Chicago, IL, father and mother in-law, Hari and Ann Chevali of Mentor, OH, sister and brother in-law, Ami and Jeremy Kiser, two nieces, Meera and Uma of Cleveland Heights, OH, sister in-law, Marcy Chevali of New York, NY and a host of cherished cousins and friends who love him dearly.
