Samuel L. Jackson was born July 29, 1955 and gained his wings on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at The Pearl of Joliet.

Samuel was born to the union of Tommie and Martha Jackson in Grenada, Missippi.  Samuel attended and graduated from Joliet Central High School.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Martha Jackson; three sisters, Sarah, Laura and Emma; three brothers, Willie, Anthony and William; three brothers-in-law, Isaac McDaniel, Joseph Dixon and Odell Graham; sister-in-law, Annie Thompson and Ella Jackson; nine sisters and three brothers.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memories; his only son, Darius Myers; three sisters, Edith Dixon, Clara Graham and Nancy (Terry) Cooper; one brother, Liddell Jackson; two grandchildren, Darius Jr. and Amiyah Rose; two sisters-in-law, Irene Jackson and Nelia Yarbough.

Samuel also leaves to cherish numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; his special friends, Sherry Myers, Aaron Willis and Leroy Smith.
