Sharon D. McCann

Sharon D. McCann was born on September 5, 1960, to Irene McCann and Dave Curry. She was called home on October 26, 2025, at Alden Estates of Orland Park Rehabilitation Center in Orland Park, Illinois.

Sharron attended Joliet Central High School and graduated in 1978. She worked as a CNA, Bus Monitor at First Student, and as a Housekeeper at several hotels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene McCann and Dave Curry; six brothers, Franklin McCann, Tyrell McCann, Dave Curry Jr., Steven Ellis, Craig Ellis, and Jerry Curry; four sisters, Sandrea Ellis, Betty Clark, Lilly Gregory, and Janet Curry; one niece, Katrina Ellis; and two nephews, Joseph Ellis and Michael Morgan.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Jermaine McCann Sr.; two daughters, Octavia McCann and Takina McCann, all of Joliet, Illinois; three brothers, Dwayne McCann, Jerome McCann, and Cedric McCann, all of Joliet, Illinois; one uncle, J.C. McCann of Louisiana; grandchildren, Jermaine McCann Jr., Jhe’rell McCann, Malakia McCann, and Brielle Cole; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
