Shirley Ann Butcher was Born April 11, 1957, in Chicago, IL to the loving parents of Leo and Ruth Butcher (who both preceded her in death).
Shirley Ann Butcher graduated from DuSable High School.
She was a member of New Joy City COGIC (formerly Full Gospel COGIC) under the leadership of founder, Pastor Jeff C. Ball, Jr and Pastor Jeffery L. Ball for over 30 years.
Shirley Ann Butcher was kind, loving, had a sense of humor, prayer warrior and a true friend to many. She loved GOD with all her heart and was well versed in the scripture. Her main goal and desire in life was to worship, serve, praise and please GOD. She spread her love by inspirational text messages, Facebook posts or even a simple phone call. She always had a positive word for you in spite of any challenges she may have been facing. Shirley Butcher enjoyed praying for you or with you.
On the morning of Tuesday, January 30, 2024, she made her transition to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her brothers, Charles and Lanell Butcher, James Butcher (preceded her in death) sister, Gloria Curtis and sister Gwendolyn Butcher who also preceded her in death, nieces, Lashonda Butcher, LaWanda Butcher and Porsha Brantley, Gloria Butcher, nephews, Claude Butcher and Robert Frison and a host of great nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends.
