Seibert "Red" Caldwell Jr. was born on February 9, 1939 in Joliet, IL, to Grace Milliner and Seibert Caldwell Sr. in Joliet, IL, at St. Joseph Hospital. During his early years, he attended and graduated from Joliet Central High School and worked at the Joliet Job Corp for several years doing janitorial work. He also did construction work for many local businesses around Joliet and Chicago. He worked at the Family Restaurant “A&C BBQ", where they had the best BBQ in town.
He departed to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2024. Siebert is in preceded in death by his parents: Grace Milliner Caldwell, Siebert Caldwell, and the one who raised him, Mary Holmes Caldwell, along with his siblings, Alice Marshal, Barbara Davis, Brian Caldwell, Charles Yarbrough, and William Yarbrough.
He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life with memories: one son, Roberto A. (Cynthia Strong) Clayton; two sisters, Patricia (Bob) Gaddy of Joliet, IL and Joan (Charles-deceased) Worley, and two brothers, Ronnie (Karen) Caldwell in Las Vegas, NV, and Kieth Caldwell, with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
