Thomasina Cranfield was born in Joliet, IL on September 24, 1968 to Leona Christina Gregory and Thomas William Cranfield, who both preceded her in death. Thomasina was the youngest of six children. Her older brother, Alphonso Gregory also preceded her in death.
She attended school at Joliet West (Class of 1986) and she attended the American Inter Continental University where she received her degree in Healthcare Administration in 2012. In November of 2024, she fulfilled her passion and she graduated from One Stop Beauty School as a licensed Nail Technician.
Thomasina worked for Lockport Township as a bus driver and she also did nails in her spare-time. She has always had a passion for fashion, shopping and living a fun filled life. She was always very vocal and not afraid to tell you how she felt but we always knew it was coming from love. She was a faithful member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Wendell Martin is the Pastor. Every Sunday, she would send her kids and grandkids the virtual services from Mt. Olive, making sure that we always keep God first. Her health started to decline but she was a fighter and she fought as long as she could.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life: her children, Eyota Dyani Cranfield, Raymond Jones Jr. (Cecily Jones) and Princeton Jones. Her grandchildren, Royce and Raina Jones. Her siblings Jerry Gregory (Mary Gregory), Ernest Lee Gregory Jr., Jock Gregory, Kenneth Gregory (Aurora Gregory), Aisha Cothran and Arnesha Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
