Vera Murry was born on August 24, 1939, to the union of Jessie and Lula Murry in Greenville, Mississippi. Vera attended Lucy Webb Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her mother, (Lula); father, (Jessie); brothers, (Jimmy, Anthony, Arthur, and Danny); sisters, (Ruby and Elizabeth) and husband, (Eugene Webster).
Vera accepted Christ as an early age, joining Mount Vayou Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined New Caanan Land Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor P.L. Thomas. Eventually, becoming a member of the usher board.
Vera was united in holy matrimony to Eugene Webste,r Sr.; to this union one son, Eugene Murry, was born.
Vera was employed at the Westin Hotel and later became a bar maid to several Chicagoland lounges. Vera’s youthful, charismatic, loving heart touched each and every family and friend near. Vera will always be compassionately remembered as the loving “life of the party.”
Vera leaves to cherish her precious memories; her son, Eugene (Joyce); four sisters, Argret, Pamela, Margret, and Kasandra (Robert); six brothers, Jesse (Doris), Prentiss (JoAnn), Bill (Mildred), Donnie, Ronnie (Christine) and Julius (Vicki); three grandchildren, Vernetta, James (Darnella) and Charlea; nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
