Obituary

With the heaviest of hearts and yet immense gratitude for the time we had together, we share the news of our beloved son Victor Clark Moore's passing from this world into the eternal embrace of his Heavenly Father. Our hearts ache as we pen this obituary, yet it is also filled with an overwhelming sense of love and pride for the remarkable man our Victor became.

Born into our tight-knit family on January 31, 1969, Victor, with his twinkling eyes and half-smile that could melt your heart, was a beacon of love, warmth, and strength. Growing up, he was nurtured not only by his parents, but also by his beloved grandmother, Mardell, whom he adored dearly. Victor's bond with his grandmother was one of those silent forces that shaped his life, laying a foundation of love, respect, and familial devotion.

Victor was blessed with a unique talent—the gift of music. We remember the countless hours he spent locked in his room, lost in a world of melodies, rhythms, and lyrics. Music was not just a hobby for him; it was his personal language of expression, creating ethereal sounds that could stir souls. He had a fondness for solitude, often retreating to the tranquility of the countryside, basking in the serenity of nature with his loyal canine companion, Fraunce, by his side.

Among the myriad facets of Victor's vibrant personality was his stylish demeanor. He had a flair for fashion, favoring navy and beige tones, and he carried himself with an elegance that belied his years. His fascination with automobiles was an enduring passion, one that he cherished, explored, and pursued with gusto.

Victor was an achiever. A proud high school graduate, he served four years in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm, a period of his life that honed his strength, resilience, and steadfast commitment to his nation. He further expanded his horizons by earning a bachelor's degree from Devry University of Houston, a testament to his unwavering dedication to personal growth.

His love for his family knew no bounds. He held his father, Monte Sr., dear to his heart, affectionately calling him “Pops”. He shared a special bond with his brothers and was particularly close to his cousin, Richard, his special uncle, Bradley, his aunts, Aunt Enid, Aunt Marilyn, Aunt Carmen, and Aunt Tracey, who all played significant roles in his life, nurturing him with their love, affection, and care.

Victor had an incredible sense of humor, one that could diffuse even the most heated arguments. His unique signal of a twist in his left eye and a half-smile never failed to make us laugh. It was his way of gracefully admitting defeat, a testament to his humility and sportsmanship.

Victor was a tower of strength and resolve. He faced life's trials with courage, turning obstacles into steppingstones. His philosophy was one of perseverance and undying love for those he held dear. In the face of hardship, he was a rock, holding steadfast to his belief: "Never leave them; always stand on the ground of those you bring forth, because the earth grows good what you plant in love."

The spiritual aspect of Victor's life was profound. He gave his life to Christ at an early age, steadfastly nurturing his connection with the Divine throughout his adult life. His love for the Lord was unwavering, and he often prayed with me, sharing a deep, unshakeable faith that offered solace, strength, and guidance.

Victor was welcomed home in the hands of our Almighty God on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

Victor Clark Moore was more than just our son; he was an embodiment of love, strength, passion, and resilience. He was a loving grandson, a devoted brother, a caring cousin, a beloved nephew, a proud Navy veteran, a creative genius, a faithful Christian, and a pillar of strength to his family. His life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and resilience, and he has left an indelible imprint on our hearts.

As we mourn his physical absence, let's also celebrate the beautiful life he lived, the love he shared, and the memories he created. Victor's spirit will continue to live on in the music he created the love he professed, the faith he held, and the lives he touched.

May his soul rest in eternal peace in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
