Virgie Mae Bradfield was born to the union of Archie Lee and Katie Mae Bradfield on September 6, 1949 in Yazoo, Mississippi. She was raised in Chicago, Illinois. Archie Lee preceded her in death.
Virgie confessed her life to Christ at an early age. Although stricken with Polio at the age of nine, she overcame all obstacles and prospered on to live a full life until God saw fit to call his angel home on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.
Virgie worked in the Hospitality Field where she made a lot of friends and touched many lives that she came in contact with, even though a lot of people thought she was mean, but later found out she was nothing but a “Gentle Teddy Bear”.
On May 18, 1970, Virgie was united in Holy Matrimony to Burnell Martin who preceded her in death. To this union three children were born.
Virgie is also preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Michael and Gary; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Earl and Eugene.
