Walter D. Bailey, Jr. was born October 27, 1981 to Walter D. Bailey, Sr. and Ethel Bailey in Joliet, Illinois. He departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2020 at his home from sudden cardiac arrest.
At an early age, Walter joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Edward Martin, Jr. He graduated from Joliet Central High School, he enjoyed wrestling during his school years. Walter enjoyed listening to gospel singing next to wrestling.
Walter’s former employment history included; while still in school his first job was a food server at a Senior Living Facility; later he was employed as a School Bus Driver and Bus Fueler at First Student, a custodian at the Hollywood Casino, and finally a Pace Medi Bus Driver until he was unable to perform the job.
Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter Sr.; maternal grandmother, Essie Williamson; sister, Paula Cameron; step sister, Deon Cameron of Joliet, IL; paternal uncles, Alex Lemour Bailey, Glover Bailey, Charles Bailey, James Bailey, Richard Graves; and one aunt, Virdell all of Virginia.
Walter is survived by his dear mother, Ethel Bailey; brother, Phillip Williamson; special nephew, Demarcus (Kyrie/Brianna) Williamson; stepbrother, Kevin Cameron; stepsister, Sawanna Cameron; niece, TaTashia Cameron; nephew, Terrence Campbell all of Joliet, IL; maternal grandfather, Edgar Williamson of Louin, MS; maternal uncles, Horace, John (Hazel) and Jerry (Wanda) Williamson all of Joliet, IL, Edgar Jr. (Rose) Williamson and Douglas (Sherry) Williamson all of Louin, MS; maternal aunts, Ruby Wright (Dekoven) of Louin, MS, Clara McDaniel and Fayola Crayton of Joliet, IL; paternal aunts and uncle, Alma Dozierand, Joyce and uncle, Oliver Bailey, all of Virginia; and a host of loving and special cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nett, Chris Ellison and Lionel Green.
