Walter P. Carey “Big Walt” born to Walter Carey Sr (preceded in death) and Clono Carey on June 23, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois. Walter was the oldest of three children.

He proceeded to Columbia College in downtown Chicago majoring in Communications. Unfortunately, when the company closed that didn’t stop Walter from continuing on to several great employment opportunities throughout the Chicagoland area. Jackson.  Later in life Walter became a member of Acme Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Bernard J. Sutton where he  served as a deacon and on the Men’s Ministry. Walter loved when Bishop would sang those “old time doctor watts” hymns and admired him for his teaching of God’s word.

In June 2009 Walter married the love of his life Carla Perry. Nothing made him happier than making the love of his life happy. They shared many wonderful times together that will be forever cherished.  They built a beautiful life together as one.  Although Walter did not have any biological kids, he had a special bond with his nieces Kareemah and Kiaana, his nephew Christopher, and his special daughter, his dog “ Pepper”.

Walter had a great passion for old cars, he could tell you anything you wanted to know about any car every made. He loved history and his cigars, but more than anything he loved family.
