Wayne Sellers was born on August 30, 1964, to Willie T. and Crezeel Sellers in Franksville, Alabama. At an early age, Wayne and his family relocated to Joliet, IL.
Wayne was educated in the Joliet Public School system, and he graduated from United Pentecostal School.
Wayne received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at a young age and later obtained his ministerial license while attending Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop William H. Bonner in Aurora, IL. He later moved his membership to Sweet Holy Spirit under the leadership of Bishop Larry Trotter in Chicago, IL where he served for many years. He then joined All Nations Church of God in Christ in Joliet, IL, where he served in many capacities under the leadership of Pastor Dwayne M. Barefield, until his passing.
Wayne was the master barber and owner of Sir Wayne En2Et Production. Wayne loved the artistry of barbering. There was never a dull moment when he was around because he was the king of jokes, and he loved to laugh. Yes, he was that one person you could not sit by in church or any event without laughing hysterically. Wayne was a vivid lover of music and good preaching. Wayne was a fashion guru extraordinaire, he loved hats, shoes, socks and a well-coordinated outfit. Wayne had a group of retail therapy friends that he would often go thrift shopping with, he could always find a deal. Wayne liked to cook and entertain; he truly loved God and God’s people. No matter where Wayne went, he has never met a stranger. If you have ever conversed with him, you knew that he most definitely had a way with words and expressing how he felt. If the topic of discussion was really good to him, right before he would finish talking, he would lean in and seal the conversation with “Believe what I’m saying.”
While in Franksville, AL Wayne met Rosie Johnson, and they were later married in March of 1991, to this union one son was born named Ryan.
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the angels came silently and sealed the lips of our dearly beloved husband, father, brother and son, Wayne Sellers. Taking him to a place of eternal rest where pain is no more and joy will be everlasting.
