Will R. Russell

Will Rogers Russell was born January 29, 1941 in Springfield, TN to Garfield and Blanche Russell.

As a young man, Mr. Russell would leave Springfield to join the Air Force where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam.  

Before he went to the Air Force, Mr. Russell would marry the love of his life, Dorothy C. Benton. They would actually marry twice. The second time in 2007 where he declared to his wife, "I would marry you a thousand times."

Mr. Russell was a giving man. He adored his family and he lived a fulfilling life of love and lots of laughter. 

He departed this life on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Mr. Russell leaves to cherish his memories; a wife, Dorothy C. Russell; a daughter, Kathy Russell-Cole; a son-in-law, James McArthur Cole II; a son, Sir William McCormick; a sister, Mattie-Margaret Hull, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, friends, relatives and all the new people he met along his journey. 

We will love and miss him and his laughter and always cherish his memory.
