William Jackson was born to Martha and Tommie Jackson on August 23, 1953 in Grenada, Mississippi. Known as "Bim" to family and friends was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Joliet, Illinois until failing health prevented from attending regularly.
William attended Joliet Public schools and graduated from Joliet Township Central in 1971. He was employed with Union Oil; now Citgo Refinery in Lemont, IL from 1972 to 1997 when he retired. He picked up part time jobs including maintenance at the church to occupy his time.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Martha and Tommie Jackson; brothers, Willie T. Jackson Sr. and Anthony Jackson; and one sister, Laura B. McDaniel.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Irene Jackson; four children, Antonio Ross, Latasha Jackson, Christopher Jackson and Alisha Jackson all of Joliet, IL; brothers, Liddell Jackson and Samual Jackson; sisters, Edith Dixon, Clara Graham, and Emma Mitchell, all of Joliet, IL; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
