William Deanthony Spruell, affectionately known as “Will, Big Gucci Will”, was
born Tuesday, June 16, 1998 in Joliet, Illinois. He left this world suddenly the
evening of Friday, April 24, 2020 at AMITA Health St. Joseph Hospital. He was 21
years old.
Will attended Grade School at Troy Middle School. Not only did he excel
academically, but here is where his passion for wrestling, lifelong brotherhoods
and loyalty began. As one of the Starters on the wrestling team, Will was very
proud of hid downstate accomplishments. Will attended and graduated from Joliet
West High School, where his photo is still on display in their Champion’s Hall for
Wrestling. At the time of his death, he was currently enrolled in college for his
Business Management Degree.
To know him is to love him. Will had a smile big enough to light up any room. If
he loved you, he was your protector. Family was everything to him, usually saying
things like, “OTF” (Only the Family).
Will leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Qiana Cochran, Donnie Creal, Bill
and Wanda Spruell; sisters, Ashley Creal, Briana Spruell and Nevaeh Spruell;
brothers, Anton Moore, Dontihna Creal, William (Trelynn) Magee-Spruell, Justin
(Mya) Magee-Spruell, Kendrick Williams and Bryce Spruell; grandparents,
Patricia Bey (Ronald) and Jessie Gray; great grandparents, Willie Mae Moore and
Willie (Rosie) Spruell; aunts, Lakesia Cochran (Lemont), Shalonda (Mike) Clayton
and Jacqueline (Marvin) Jenkins; uncles, Jessie Gray, Deronte Singletary, Loren
(Tammy) Clayton-Uncle CHUBB, Kyle Creal, James Williams; love interest, his
Lex-Lexie Dockery; and a host of family and close friends.
Will has touched soooo many lives in his short 21 years of life, and it gives the
family comfort in hearing, seeing all your stories and memories with him!
