Willie Mae Loggins was born on April 24, 1944, in Grenda, Mississippi to J.V. Loggins, Sr. and Avanell Loggins.
Willie Mae went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2024.
She accepted Christ at an early age at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and rededicated her life in early March 2022. She attended Holcomb School in Grenada, Mississippi.
Willie Mae worked at Sunny Hill Nursing Home and retired after twenty-five years of service.
Willie Mae Loggins was preceded in death by her beloved parents, J.V. and Avanell Loggins, two sisters, Cora Lee Loggins and Ruthie (Jimmie) Wright, and one brother, Alvin Loggins.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Elzena (Houston) Wright of Grenada, MS; Lula Mae Liddell of Amityville, NY; Edna Blackmon of Joliet, three brothers, Rufus Loggins of Kankakee, IL, Frank Loggins and J.V. Loggins Jr., all of Joliet; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to her brother, J.V. Loggins, Jr., who for many years cared for his sister. Special thanks to Betty Barnes, Glenda Wright-Moses, and Evelyn Wright-Lewis for their support.
