Willie B. McCurdy Grady of Bay Springs, MS, was born on June 24, 1942 to Mr. Elijah Wyatts and Rosie Mae McCurdy. As she leaves this earth, she leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband; Willie G. Grady; her daughters, Peggy Grady Parker, Jacqueline Grady and Toni Grady-Shorty and two sons; Stacey Grady and Christopher Grady.
Willie departed this earth on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Lightways Hospice and Serious Ilness Care. Willie was known as “Willie B” or “Momma Grady” at Deerbrook Nursing Home where she retired from with great service. Everyone loved her and she brought joy and love to many people. She graduated from Joliet Junior College with her degree and with honors. She loved family BBQ’s, cook outs, and she also enjoyed holiday cooking.
Willie has eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; her best cousin; Annie Ruth Blankenship, and family friend, Bernice Stewart and Ethal Mae Brown.
Willie was known by her famous tea cakes and soul food.
