On Tuesday March 30, 2021, Willie Charles Sago was called home. The world has now come to mourn the loss of his great soul. Willie, known to most as "Sago” was a great son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, mechanic and much more.
Willie Charles Sago was born September 29, 1955 in Greenville MS. To John W. Sago Sr. and Daisy (Nee Spruell) becoming number eight of ten children.
Willie was educated by the Lockport IL schooling system.
Willie, nicknamed Sago, was a loving and devoted father and “Papa” to his four granddaughters. Throughout his 65 years on earth, Sago touched the lives of many. He would do anything for anybody with no hesitation. Whether it was a few dollars or working on someone’s cars, Sago showed his love through many acts of service. To know him was to love him, his heartful smile and welcoming aura was sure to make you feel warm and loved. If he wasn’t outside riding his bike or fixing a car you could find Willie either spending time with his loved ones or enjoying sports games that would hold him in the house until someone brought out a deck of cards. Sago was the best on the table and did not have a problem reminding of the fact, no matter what game was being played. However, his true passion was being a mechanic. Rain, sleet, hail, or snow Sago was always ready to get the job done with a smile on his face. Our favorite mechanic will be missed. His loving and infectious spirit will live on through those he left behind.
