Zelle Donisha Taylor “Niecy”

Born February 10, 1971 went home to be with the LORD on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 .

Zelle was born to  Henry Lewis Mahone and Jeanne Mae Taylor (Hervey). She professed Christ at a young age and was baptized under the leadership of the late Pastor J. W Walton at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the junior usher board under the leadership of LaBertha McGee.

Zelle attended Lockport Township  High School and finished at Joliet Central High School in Joliet, Illinois.

She  attended Robert Morris college, Graduated with an associate degree in administrative assistance. Worked in the field executive administrative admin and customer service.  Her passion was styling and decorating, she loved having fun with family.

She was preceded in death by Henry Lewis Mahone, her father, Juanita Avery (Grandmother), Josie Avery (Great Grandmother).  Aunts Fannie Mahone, Cynthia Blue, Cora Avery, Jacqueline Avery, Doris Avery, Mildred Weems, and Cousin, Renard Avery.

She leaves to cherish her memories; Gregory Denard Thornton, Jr. , her son, Jeanne and James Hervey (Parents), Andrea (Kenyada Elijah and Justin), James (Angel) Hervey,  Michael (Teresa) Hervey, Yolanda (Brandon) Traylor Johnathan (Tosha) Hervey, Theresa Ali, Marcus Caldwell, Kevin Caldwell (Stephanie),and Keisha Caldwell.    Uncles: Pastor Robert Johnson (Yvonne), Robert Gentry, Donell Avery(Kuvon), Abe Avery (Terry), Aunts: Brenda Dance, Treva Jones, Shirley Avery, Patsy Smith (Kirk, Courtney and Jarvis) and a host nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
