LORENDIA WRIGHT-CARTER
Lorendia was born July 25, 1960 to Willie Aaron Wright and Delorese (Hankins) Wright in Grenada, Mississippi. After leaving Mississippi in 1967, Lorendia held residence in Joliet, Illinois.
Lorendia affectionately known as “Ren” attended Joliet Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Joliet Central High School.
Lorendia began working at Deluxe Craft and worked her way up to supervisor. Over the course of the years, she worked at several jobs which included U. S. Sample, Walmart and Hampton Inn of Joliet.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Emanuel Carter, Jr. on June 18, 2004. Lorendia loved family, football, bowling, cooking and loved to shop which was reflected in her stylish wardrobe. She was born into Battle Temple C.O.G.I.C. and later joined and was baptized at Prayer Tower Ministries C.O.G.I.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Willie Aaron Wright and Delorese Wright; aunt, Doris Robinson; uncles, Frank D. Hankins and Robert T. Hankins.
Lorendia passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in New Lenox, Illinois.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her husband, Emanuel Carter, Jr., brother; W. Ray (Peggy) Wright; stepsisters; Gladys (Ralph) Emerson and Rita (Warren, Jr.) Dorris; sister-in-law; Freddie Lee Tribblett and Eleanor Collins; mother-in-law, Betty Lucille Carter, nieces; Monica (Willie, Jr.) Samuel, Camille (Dameion) Simpson; nephews; Christopher Demeris Wright and Nicholas Delany Wright; godson, Curtis Anthony Rodgers and a host of great nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
